USC vs. Colorado: Prediction, Selection, Spread, Soccer Match Odds, Live Stream, TV Channel, Watch Online

USC moved up to 8th in the latest edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings and will look to keep its playoff hopes alive with a win over Colorado on Friday. The Buffaloes are 11th in the Pac-12 standings and must now travel to Los Angeles to face the Trojans.

While USC is 8-1 on the season, not all of those wins come easily. In the past two weeks, the Trojans have defeated Arizona and California, but each of those wins has come by just a point. Quarterback Caleb Williams looks like a Heisman Trophy contender, and he leads an explosive offense, but defense was a bit of a concern. In their last three games, the Trojans have conceded 115 total points and 1,574 yards of offense. That may not bite her this week, but defense coordinator Alex Grinch needs to find some answers ahead of a Week 12 fight against UCLA.

It’s been a long season at Boulder. Colorado is 1-8 with its only win coming in a low-scoring affair against California. The Buffaloes are one of the five worst teams in the FBS when it comes to points per game (15.6) and points per game allowed (40.2). It’s hard to see things turning against this USC team. If there’s a glimmer of hope for Colorado, it’s the aforementioned Trojan defenses. The question is whether quarterback JT Shrout can take advantage of this and keep it tight in the fourth quarter.

USC vs. Colorado: Must know

Caleb Williams is red hot: Williams has played well all season but he’s been doing even better lately. Williams has been absolutely dominant in USC’s last three games. During that span, Williams averaged 384 passing yards while throwing for 14 touchdowns and zero interceptions. With just a few weeks left in the regular season, Williams has firmly established himself as a contender for the Heisman Trophy, and he looks poised for another big game this weekend.

USC’s defense is Not: As good as USC is on the offensive side of football, it always has the potential to return points directly to the opposition when defense takes the field. Lincoln Riley and his coaching staff tried to instantly boost that side of the ball in the off-season with some additions to the transfer portal, but it didn’t necessarily work out. More specifically, the Trojans can be spread through the air. They allow 267.0 passing yards per game, which ranks 10th in the conference. Cal’s Jack Plummer just carved USC for 406 yards passing and three touchdowns.

USC perfectly against Colorado: The Trojans and Buffaloes have met 15 times in the series’ history, which dates back to 1927, and USC has won every time. Colorado has come close to making the board in recent years, but has always lacked at least a couple of points. Given the current trajectory of the two programs, it doesn’t seem like the Buffaloes will break through this year, but in college football, you never say never.

USC vs. Colorado prediction, tips

USC is a huge favorite against Colorado with 34 points, but trusting either side is difficult right now. The Trojans have let underdogs hang around in each of their last two games, and the Buffaloes are one of the worst teams in the country. Instead, a game with the grand total seems more attractive. USC is able to hang a massive number on that Colorado defense, and the Trojans’ defense has been looking pretty anemic lately. As bad as Colorado’s offense was in 2022, it could still find the end zone a few more times. Prognosis: Over 66
