Costa Tequila expands Colorado distribution to Summit County and beyond

Costa Tequila, maker of the world’s first “Hi/Lo” tequila blend, announces an expansion of its partnership with Eagle Rock Distributing Company to now offer Costa Tequila in Summit County and western Colorado ahead of the 2022-23 winter season. Costa currently has more than 300 distribution locations in eastern Colorado and plans to triple that number by 2023.

Earlier this month, Costa released its latest Hi/Lo blend of tequila, an añejo aged 16 months in American oak casks that features notes of toasted hazelnut, caramel, vanilla and brown sugar, along with the aroma of pure agave. Costa Tequila’s Hi/Lo tequilas are the only tequilas that intentionally combine flavor profiles of 100% Blue Weber Agave, sourced from two traditionally separate tequila regions in Jalisco, Mexico: “Los Altos” (the highlands) and ” Valle de Tequila”. (the lowlands).

“Colorado loves tequila, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Eagle Rock to bring something different to the western slopes,” said Costa Tequila Founder Stephen Gavula III. “We’ve found that winter activity and tequila make a surprisingly good pairing, and earlier this year we doubled that belief by announcing our partnership with Olympic gold medalist Kaitlyn Farrington. We look forward to sharing a Margarita or Tequila Old Fashioned with her on the slopes.”

Kaitlyn Farrington is the 2014 Olympic gold medal snowboarder who had to retire after a life-changing snowboarding accident just 10 months after her monumental win. A life dedicated to snowboarding professionally, she is now one of the most talented backcountry snowboard and ski guides in the world, empowering people to experience outdoor adventures.

Farrington’s inspirational journey has made her the youngest brand ambassador for Costa Tequila. Costa supports a small team of ambassadors who help to authentically raise awareness of the brand while Costa supports them in pursuing their outdoor passions.

“I’m excited to partner with Costa because they’re willing to invest in me and share my story,” says Farrington. “It’s been an incredible journey from my halfpipe career to what’s next for me when I retire, and Costa is helping me tell my story the right way.”

Costa Tequila’s Hi/Lo tequilas are now available in retail stores in nine states and online nationwide. Find all three flavors of Costa Tequila, Añejo (MSRP $56.99), Blanco ($36.99) and Reposado ($39.99) at select retailers or order online at costatequila.com. Following the devastating effects of Hurricane Ian, Costa Tequila will donate 15% of proceeds from every purchase to the Florida Disaster Relief Fund through the end of the year.
