Colorado vs. Tennessee tips and predictions

forecast

Tennessee 73, Colorado 61

money line

Would consider a Colorado partial unit play at +825. Otherwise, HAPPEN.

against the spread

Last season in Colorado, a 5.5 UT-favored squad defeated the Buffs 69-54. But Colorado led this game early and trailed 5-10 points for much of the 2nd half.

The Buffaloes had turnover problems in their inexplicable loss to Grambling, and that doesn’t bode well for the encounter with the defensively strong Tennessee. But Colorado has a veteran group and good experience against Pac-12 foes like Arizona, UCLA and Washington State that serve as viable comps for Tennessee.

There is some risk for the buffs not to get things out offensively yet. But also add a little risk of rusting to the UT side; The Vols have been absent for 5 days and had a couple of ATS missteps last season after similar rests.

COLORADO +15.5 (-103) is worth a game, perhaps as a partial bet.

over under

Set this game to a medium to slow pace. The neutral side can fool around with shot percentages.

The Under is losing steam as the total is down 3 points as of this writing. But there is still some value.

BACK BELOW 139.5 (-110).
